About The Farm
Hodges Family Farm llc
The farmhouse, located at 131 Montoe Road in Waterbury, CT was built in 1899, the land was acquired by Army Veteran Anthony Hodges who began renovating the property as a way to help deal with PTSD. Hodges Family Farm LLC. was established in 2015 and what started as a family project with his parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, and friends, eventually grew into a community effort with volunteers coming to help maintain the land every weekend. As we tend to the land and share stories about our childhoods spent growing up on family farms, we create laughs, lasting memories and aspirations of what the future will bring. With the hard work and dedication of so many, Hodges Family Farm LLC. is now open for the public to enjoy. We hope to see you soon!
A Farmer's Legacy
The tradition of farming is strong in the Hodges family, their ancestors spent their lifetime as share-croppers post slavery and although they didn’t have the land to pass down through the generations, the knowledge, skills and traditions have remained in their family for over 100 years. Being able to share this legacy with their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews is what they strive to preserve. Hard work and family values are the very cornerstone that Hodges Family Farm LLC. is built upon.
